As a small association, we are constantly faced with the challenge of realising great things with small means. One of the best examples of this is our website www.1qmlein.at - a central tool for our public relations work, events and dialogue with our community.
What many people may not know: Our website is created entirely in-house. No expensive agency budget, no external service providers. We design, build and maintain the site ourselves. And even if that can sometimes be a real pain - it's worth it. Because as a small organisation, we simply wouldn't have been able to afford a site of this size otherwise.
Between idealism, HTML - and the odd construction site
Of course, not everything always runs smoothly. We speak quite openly about Hoppalas - Sometimes a plugin suddenly stops working, sometimes the layout on the mobile phone has slipped, or an update causes unexpected side effects. There are days when we spend hours tweaking small details, only to realise at the end: "It doesn't work like this - but at least now we know."
Your help makes the difference
Because we maintain our site in our free time and on a voluntary basis, your feedback is particularly valuable to us. If you notice something that doesn't work - please let us know. please let us know! Every browser and every mobile phone reacts differently and we cannot test all combinations in advance.
👉 Most importantly: Write to us, what exactly not possible - and if possible, send us a Screenshot to this. That helps us immensely!
A concrete example:
Unfortunately, our membership card cannot currently be displayed correctly on all mobile phones. Until we have resolved this, please view it on a PC or laptop if possible.
Patience, growth and community
We ask for your patience - As the flax grows, so does our community and our experience. This is the very first time we've done a project of this magnitude, and the completely voluntary. A lot of things therefore don't happen as quickly as we would like. But we are keeping at it - step by step.
The website is an ongoing project. It is lively, sometimes imperfect, but always a real piece of the organisation's work. And that's exactly what makes it so special for us.
Thank you for walking with us, helping us to find mistakes - and for continuing to grow with us.
